Even though the region has a rich cultural heritage where various cultures co-existed for centuries, the Syriac language is spoken by only a small number of individuals.

Engaging Syriac children with their own heritage is another urgent need that was highlighted by the community members, for that reason a children’s book was prepared in the Syriac language directly targeting the younger audience. It was also published in Turkish, in order to reach a wider young audience.
